Tooting WI is welcoming new members!
Tooting Women’s Institute, which has been running since 2016, brings together a growing community of women in South London who are looking to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun in a relaxed, social setting.
Meeting every second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm, the group hosts a wide range of activities designed to help women connect and unwind. This year’s programme includes terrarium making, cocktail making, singing workshops and brush lettering, with more events planned throughout the year.
Membership includes access to all 12 monthly meetings, as well as a range of popular sub-groups including Supper Club, Craft Club, Book Club, Culture Club and Thirsty Thursdays, offering even more opportunities to meet like-minded women.
The group has become a go-to for those looking to meet new people, build friendships and find a sense of community in their local area.
Becky Warburton, President of Tooting WI, said, “A lot of people still think the WI isn’t for them, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We’re a diverse, welcoming group of women who want to have fun, try new things and build real friendships.
“We know how hard it can be to meet people as an adult, especially in London. Whether you’ve just moved to the area or you’re looking to meet new people, Tooting WI offers a friendly, welcoming space where you can just come along, be yourself and get to know others.”
Prospective members are invited to attend their first meeting as a guest for a small donation before deciding whether to join.
