Sprout Arts in Furzedown hosts exhibition to celebrate Refugee Week
Sprout Arts in Furzedown is hosting an exhibition by charity Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees (WWR) to celebrate Refugee Week.
‘It Takes Courage…’ features 22 artists and makers sharing stories and perspectives through art. Visitors are invited to explore, discover and reflect on what courage means to them. Many of the artworks are for viewing only, but a percentage of proceeds from artwork for sale will go to WWR. Donations from visitors are also very welcome.
There’ll be a party tonight, Tuesday 16th June, 6pm-8pm, where everyone is welcome to meet the artists and find out more about WWR.
They’ll also be running a range of FREE family friendly workshops, with mask-making fun on Wednesday 17th, a children’s crafting session on Thursday 18th and a creative tote-bag making workshop for all ages on Saturday 20th June. All free, including materials, but please book so they know numbers (link below).
The show is open until this Saturday 20th June, 11am-5pm at Sprout Arts, 74 Moyser Road, SW16 6SQ. More info via sproutarts.com
