We’re sad to report that the RSPCA South London charity shop at 71-73 Upper Tooting Road is to close in October.
The charity said on their social media, “To everyone who has shopped, donated or simply popped in for a chat at our Tooting shop, we want you to hear this from us directly.
“After a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision to close the shop this October. It has been running at a loss for some time, and as a small locally run branch, we simply cannot keep funding that loss without it affecting the animals and the welfare work we exist to do.
“Nothing changes yet. We are open as normal right up until closing, and every visit, every purchase and every bag of stock you donate between now and then still funds real local animal welfare work.
“Thank you for years of support, there is more to come on this soon.”
