Open Day at Tooting Fire Station
Tooting Fire Station on Trinity Road in Tooting Bec welcomed children and families from the local community for a fantastic Open Day focused on fire safety, education, and fun recently!
The event was designed to engage young people and give them a behind-the-scenes look at life in the fire service. Children took part in interactive fire safety talks, enjoyed guided tours of the station, tested their aim with target practice using a real fire hose, bounced away on a bouncy castle, and completed a treasure hunt around the station.
The day was a great opportunity for firefighters to share important safety messages while building strong connections with the local community in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
Kennedys fish and chip shop on Tooting High Street generously provided food for the event. Their support helped make the day a great success, and Tooting Fire Station is extremely grateful for their kindness and community spirit.
The station would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making the Open Day such a memorable occasion and looks forward to welcoming the community to future events.
