Herne Hill Harriers hosted the British Milers Club at their home track in Tooting Bec on Wednesday evening, welcoming an international field of athletes and a packed crowd for a night of high-quality middle-distance racing.
Athletes competed across the 800m, 1500m and 3000m, with more than £9,000 in prize money on offer.
The packed grounds provided the backdrop as athletes competed for victory, personal bests and meeting records, with several standout performances throughout the evening.
The Men’s 800m saw American Sean Dolan, representing Atlanta Track Club Elite, take the win in 1:46.30.
Dolan’s victory was one of the highlights of a competitive evening, with the international field producing a fast-paced race in front of the Tooting Bec crowd.
In the Women’s 1500m, Melissa Courtney-Bryant produced one of the performances of the night, winning in 4:06.29.
The European and Commonwealth Games medallist’s time set a new British Milers Club meeting record, adding another highlight to an already impressive evening of racing.
The Men’s 1500m delivered a highly competitive race, with Henry Jonas coming out on top in 3:35.31.
The B race was won by James West, who crossed the line in 3:37.21, underlining the depth of the field across both races.
The Women’s 3000m produced another standout performance as Emily Parker took victory in 8:57.97.
Parker’s winning time represented an eight-second personal best and saw her come within just 0.36 seconds of the meeting record set by Georgie Grgec in 2024.
Herne Hill Harriers would like to thank MarketAxess and Maurten for their support in bringing the event to the track, as well as the athletes, officials, volunteers and spectators who contributed to a memorable evening of racing.
